Introducing...Charles (Chas_P)
Come meet Charles, bridge player and gentleman. Charles and his trophy wife Sara Ann (except he married here more than 48 years ago) live in Gainesville, GA, on a lake in the foothills of the Appalachians. He's now retired after a long career in the automobile business.
Charles started learning bridge 56 years ago, yet he admits that he's still learning! He's the president of a real-life local club too, and plays and teaches there a few times a week. He also really enjoys being on BBO, and being a yellow especially, has provided the opportunity to learn and share with other BBOers.
Outside of Bridge, Charles is a licensed pilot, and owns his own airplane. One day, when flying his plane home, he flew over the Concorde! Sara Ann captured that moment in the picture below. Charles also plays the piano. He took a 40 year break while busy with his career, but has since picked it up again. He says he couldn't play the Chopin Polonaise in A Flat Major 40 years ago, and still can't play it now, so the long layoff did him no harm. :D However, he can play Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, etc, displaying an astonishing affinity for composers starting with B. Charles has a lot of fun.
Another picture he's sharing with us is of his soulmate and lovely wife Sara Ann, their 2 boys and wives on vacation in Bermuda. They also have 2 granddaughters now. And as a final treat, a 3rd picture of Charles and Sara Ann smiling at you. :)
